As we all know, the only time\u00a0you should burn our Flag<\/p>\n
is when you are retiring it from active service and you<\/p>\n
wish not to preserve it.<\/p>\n
Is that a law?, evidently not, but one thing for sure it is,<\/p>\n
it is a law of the heart, of the love you have for it.<\/p>\n
I didn’t have to write that, did I.<\/p>\n
Actually what led me to pen was witnessing recently a<\/p>\n
burning of our Flag on television.<\/p>\n
In fucking Greece of all places, only the cradle of<\/p>\n
Democracy by the way.<\/p>\n
To burn our Flag out of love is one thing, to burn<\/p>\n
it out of anger, hatred, is another.<\/p>\n
Our flag is being burned all over the world,<\/p>\n
not out of love, but loathing.<\/p>\n
Is everybody out of step but\u00a0“Johnnie?<\/p>\n
I put it to those Americans who would burn<\/p>\n
our Flag out of frustration; they would be<\/p>\n
better served to burn down the building<\/p>\n
encompassing the House and Senate, ha,ha!<\/p>\n
Islander.<\/p>\n
