Tyranny, like hell , is not easily conquered; yet we have this<\/p>\n
consolation with us that, the harder the conflict, the more<\/p>\n
glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem<\/p>\n
too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value.<\/p>\n
Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods, and<\/p>\n
it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom<\/p>\n
should not be highly rated”.<\/p>\n
That man was Tom Paine, aide-de-camp to General Greene<\/p>\n
at the time if I’m not mistaken, and I wonder\u00a0 how many<\/p>\n
Americans have ever heard of him much less read his work.<\/p>\n
If he were alive today in the country he so eloquently rallied<\/p>\n
back then and was asked to comment on the current situation<\/p>\n
we find ourselves in, do you think he would change his<\/p>\n
