Dragon Tattoo”, “The Girl Who Played with Fire”, and “The Girl Who<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kicked the Hornets’ Nest”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve just gotten around to reading them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know they’ve been out there for some time, therefore I also know<\/p>\n\n\n\n
that I’m necessarily “carrying coal to Newcastle” to many readers. Still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lead female protagonist Lisbeth Salander interests me for her<\/p>\n\n\n\n
outstanding eccentricity and her derring-do of course but also for the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
fact that she is an introvert with a capital I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m an introvert myself, a characteristic formed in childhood as we all<\/p>\n\n\n\n
know. I’m fond of saying “once an introvert, always an introvert”, but it<\/p>\n\n\n\n
doesn’t bother me as I know the reason for it. I can be approached but I’m<\/p>\n\n\n\n
certainly not the “hail fellow well met” type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another interesting facet of Larsson’s novels is his description of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Swedes and Swedish history over the decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Islander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
