I was listening to it just now and as I did, not only the melody
\ncaptured me but also a thought. I saw one person striking a note
\nand humanity responding.
\nIf you consider one person a soloist and humanity the orchestra,
\nI think you have an analogy going.
\nAs I listen to any great work it becomes apparent to me that yes
\nthe soloist leads but he also follows. For consider when the soloist
\nstrikes a note that resounds in the orchestra’s psyche. The note was
\nalready in their repertoire, dormant perhaps but inherent.
\nOnce inspired the orchestra can and does run with it.
