\nMen, greedy men at that, are seeking to modify mankinds food supply.
\nWhere are the major “God is so great” religions of the world, after
\nall God created everything we eat did he not?, how dare man tinker
\nwith God’s creation! I guess they have other fish to fry, on Fridays
\nthat is.
\nMankind has spent millennia discovering natures edibles. In doing so
\nit is possible they genetically modified themselves to the point
\nthat they can consume now what once would have killed them. As you
\nknow, the tomato was once considered poisonous and perhaps it was.
\nProof of this posit is all around us, for there are creatures out
\nthere that do consume things that would surely kill us. Obviously
\nthey have adapted.
\nBut to get back to my main point, it has taken thousands of years
\nto ascertain what will benefit us and what will do us harm, and so
\nit has been down through the ages, live and learn, if you live.
\nNow, out of these Transylvanian laboratories comes the promise of
\nsomething new, a new way to produce food, a boone to humanity;
\nbut somehow I just can’t get it out of my mind that out of similar
\nlaboratories, staffed by similar zealots, came the wonder drug
\nThalidomide.
