\nThe round world over– Booth had groaned for more.

\nBull- necked convicts with that land make free!
\nLoons with bazoos blowing blare, blare, blare–
\nOn, on, upward through the golden air.

Booth died blind, and still by faith he trod,
\nEyes still dazzled by the ways of God.<\/p>\n
Booth led boldly and he looked the chief,
\nEagle countenance in sharp relief,
\nBeard a-flying, air of high command

Jesus came from out the Court-House door,
\nStretched his hands above the passing poor.
\nBooth saw not, but led his queer ones there
\nRound and round the mighty Court-House square.
\nYet in an instant all that blear review
\nMarched on spotless, clad in raiment new.
\nThe lame were straightened, withered limbs uncurled
\nAnd blind eyes opened on a new sweet world.<\/p>\n
Drabs and vixens in a flash made whole!<\/p>\n
Gone was the weasel-head, the snout, the Jowl;
\nSages and sibyls now, and athletes clean,
\nRulers of empires, and of forests green!
\nThe hosts were sandalled and their wings were fire–
\nAre you washed in the blood of the Lamb?<\/p>\n
But their noise played havoc with the angel-choir.<\/p>\n
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
\nOh, shout Salvation, it was good to see
\nKings and princes by the Lamb set free.
\nThe banjos rattled and the tambourines
\njing, jing, jingled in the hands of queens!
\nAnd when Booth halted by the curb for prayer
\nHe saw his master through the flag-filled air.<\/p>\n
Christ came gently with a robe and crown
\nFor Booth the soldier while the crowd knelt down.
\nHe saw King Jesus– they were face to face,
\nAnd he knelt a-weeping in that holy place.
