A Skunk, a Deer and a Giraffe\u00a0 enter a tavern<\/p>\n
and sidle up to the bar. The Giraffe says “bartender,<\/p>\n
a round of drinks please”. The bartender sets them up<\/p>\n
and the three immediately down their drinks.<\/p>\n
The Giraffe says “bartender , another round please”.<\/p>\n
The bartender sets them up again and the three<\/p>\n
immediately quaff them.<\/p>\n
Once again the Giraffe\u00a0requests another round<\/p>\n
but since no money has been displayed<\/p>\n
the bartender says “by the way guys, who’s<\/p>\n
going to pay for the drinks?”<\/p>\n
The Skunk says, “damn, I haven’t a scent”.<\/p>\n
The Deer says, “well, I had a buck on me<\/p>\n
this past spring and I expect a little doe in the fall”.<\/p>\n
The Giraffe says, “that’s all-right fellas,<\/p>\n
the highballs are on me”.\u00a0\u00a0 Ha,ha!<\/p>\n
A joke I first heard too long ago, it is one of the few<\/p>\n
I can remember. I find that children in particular<\/p>\n
are delighted when I tell it.<\/p>\n
At the moment I’m trying to concoct a joke about<\/p>\n
a Muslim, a Christian and a Jew, but it is far from<\/p>\n
easy, for as you know I have no desire to offend anyone.<\/p>\n
