of course notice the [and I hate to use this word]<\/p>\n
obvious, [and shoot me if I ever use it again] but<\/p>\n
beyond that another noticeable event is the drop<\/p>\n
in\u00a0normal bird population.<\/p>\n
Maybe many flew to safer haven but I know for<\/p>\n
a fact a few hung around and still do.<\/p>\n
I put it down to Wind and Sea. The Wind stripped<\/p>\n
the trees and bushes of fruit and berries, and the<\/p>\n
Sea inundated the land to some depth for some<\/p>\n
time and I’m quite sure put a hurt on the insect<\/p>\n
population, another vital source of sustenance.<\/p>\n
And as I think and write about birds I can’t,<\/p>\n
somehow in my mind anyway, keep from<\/p>\n
forming an analogy vis-a-vis them and us.<\/p>\n
Islander.<\/p>\n
