One whose principals, methods, and habits are moderate and cautious;
one who avoids extremes; an advocate of political caution.”
Is it “conservative” to vote billions of dollars to a military
that engages in countless adventures around the world, inspired by
countless administrations, thus resulting in the death of countless
thousands of innocent men, women and children?
Is it “conservative” to vote to end the only universal health
coverage ever adopted in this nation, which conceivably could
result in the debilitation and even death of countless Americans?
Is it “conservative” to allow this nation’s forests to be decimated,
its shores to be despoiled, its towns to be made uninhabitable by
corporations whose only motivation is greed?
Is it “conservative” to allow this country’s infrastructure
to crumble, thus inevitably giving it the appearance of a
third world nation?
Is it “conservative” to, not too subtilely, encourage racism
in this country?
Is it “conservative” to support a complete quack in this nation’s
highest office and thus encourage his unabated tom-foolery?
If this be “conservatism”, I say “fucking fie” on it.
