Earlier I published a quote from “Fanshen”, a remarkable
first-hand account of China as it underwent its revolution,
written by William Hinton.
Surely you know that China is a “world player” as I write
but consider this, China has been a world player for thousands
of years in the history of the world gone before; and here I
can’t help but say many Americans, who’ve only been around a
few hundred years, even if they know history, don’t give
a rat’s ass about it. I had to say that, ha,ha!
Be that as it may, I highly recommend your perusal of this book.
You will discover that these people, the Chinese, have been
“forged in fire”, a fire we have never known.
I do believe we could learn a “thing or two” from them.
