On Fascism

Funk and Wagnalls def. “n. 1. A one party system in which the individual is subordinated to the state

and control is maintained by military force, secret police, rigid censorship, and governmental

regimentation of industry and finance.”

I would alter the last line of that definition to read “industry and finance’s control of the government.”

Shall we consider the above vis-a-vis this country? Let’s.

“A one party system”?, that’s a given. Who believes for a moment that there are two distinct  parties

in this country when both are given over to power, greed, and corruption.

God, how sick I am of listening to them spout the phrase “the American people” as if they know who

the American people are or give a rat’s ass, which they don’t.

Are you “subordinate to the state”?, of course.

“Control is maintained by military force”. Forget the army for the moment, though they lurk in the

background, no need for them yet as there is a para-military force called “the police” ready and willing

to crush dissent, as anyone who attended an Occupy event can attest to.

“Secret police”?; there is more than one government agency qualified for that position, indeed they fight

among themselves for eminence.

“Censorship”?, yes sir, but what agency is employed? I give you the Fourth Estate. Censorship means

not to disclose. Propaganda is a form of censorship. The public is constantly fed fluff for substance

until it comes to believe that fluff is substance, shades of Joseph Goebbels.

As for “Industry and Finance”, as I said earlier, they make all of the above possible.
