Confucius or Confuse us?

I recently bought a tool from Harbor Freight. A floor-jack, automotive,

made in Shin-wa{that’s my phonetic of Chinois}by the way.

Read the instructions, put it in the trunk and forgot about it.

I knew at the time that I should’ve familiarized myself with it,

get to know it as it were but who has the time?

Anyway, got it out to jack up a boat and realized how far I had put

the cart before the horse, car and boat.

So I read the instructions again, followed the instructions but alas,

something was wrong, something didn’t work.

So I said to myself, “fuck the instructions, figure it out” and focused

on the machinery itself, eventually discovering a solid, stout ,

intricately designed black plastic part, looking for all the world like

an integral part of the device, but not shown on the illustrations or

mentioned in the instructions.

I realized immediately that its removal would solve the problem

and, after quite some fumbling on my part, dislodged it.

Which brings me to the point. Was a description of that roadblock

left out of relevant information an oversight or was

it intentional? Is someone somewhere in the world fucking with my head?

If so, I’m telling you they had me going for sometime,ha,ha!

Islander.
