It’s easy enough to take 17-18-19 year olds, put them in
uniform, in more than one way I might add, and send them
off to some God-forsaken war to be maimed, die or become
psychologically messed up.
What do they know about life, just out of high-school,
jobless perhaps, many have not even been laid; perfect cannon fodder.
They know not about life, so it is so easy for them to take it.
What is it with a country, a people, who so willingly stand by
and watch their young, their flesh and blood, their future,
sacrificed, and for what, pray tell?
