If our Grand Imperial Wizard could take his head out of his ass
for a moment and study history, duh, history, he might discover the sad
fate of another “world leader” who also thought he could deal with
a dictator.
In late September, 1938, Neville Chamberlain, then Prime Minister
of England, journeyed to Munich and met with Adolph Hitler to discuss
Germany’s machinations in Europe. At that meetng England and France
agreed that Germany could annex the Sudentenland, a portion of
Czechoslovakia, in exchange for a promise from Hitler that he would
cease further adventures in Europe.
Chamberlain returned to London and famously waved a copy of the
agreement, declaring that he had achieved “peace in our time”.
On September 1st, 1939, eleven months later, Germany invaded Poland
and thus precipitated WW2.
At that point Chamberlain forever became known as a “patsy” for his
appeasement vis-a-vis Hitler. He resigned his post in 1940.
