On Religion [reprint]

“Religion is nothing if it is not everything”.

Madam de Stael

“Man created God in his own image and then treated himself

as dependent on his own creation”.

Feuerbach

“Those that say that religion has nothing to do with politics

do not know what religion means”.

Gandhi

“Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a

heartless world and the soul of soulless conditions.

It is the opium of the people”.

Karl Marx

I beg to differ with Marx on his last point. I believe that religion

is not the “opium” of the people but rather the “meth”,

would that I could only say “myth”, of the people.

PS. The above was previously published in a blog that died

aborning. My fault I’m sure, but I like to say “live and learn

if you live”. Anyway I’d like to say I’m here thanksĀ  to two

young men and one young woman at Web Hosting Hub,

a mysterious entity called WordPress, and I think some

outfit out of Australia of all places. thank you all indeed.
