Mozart

I’m fond of classical music, you know that, and so are some of you;

I know that. Of course, among other things classical denotes music from

another era. Of our era I could point out music I might consider classic,

Dylan comes to mind, but I suggest only time will tell if the “classic”

of our day will endure in the future.

Anyway, what sparked this script was something being broadcast on telly

as I entered my living room earlier today.

Quite often I like to guess who the composer is prior to ascertaining it

[it’s a memory thing, you know?]. I said to myself “that has to be either

Bach or Beethoven”.

Turns out it was Mozart’s Fantasy in D Minor and I said “of course”,

for indeed he occurs between the two epochs mentioned above,

a transition if you will. There are elements of both before and after

in his compositions.

Islander.

PS. I wish to say that the appearance of this blog in print differs

from how I composed it on my computer. Some fucking artificial

intelligence gizmo takes what I compose line by line and alters it

which truly pisses me off, but “vat can I do, I am only a corporal”.

PPS. Fuck me, someone over at WordPress must be listening for

they’ve altered the blog back to its original format. Maybe I’m no

longer a corporal, a lieutenant perhaps?, ha,ha!
