The overnight transformation of three reputedly progressive Democrats into courtiers of “The Nice Guy” must give one pause. It certainly got my attention. I lost a lot of respect for them in a hurry. They can turn on a dime and like weathervanes will point to whatever direction the wind is coming from at the moment. I should say winds, for there are many components to the wind I speak of. The wind of their personal and professional gain. The wind that demands obedience. The wind of personal preference. Islander.
