What does it say, when people buy lottery tickets to somehow
improve their lot? I’ll tell you what I see, I see desperation.
And where, pray tell, do the dollars they spend wind up?
Certainly not back in their pockets, no it winds up in state
coffers to be divided by politicians, heinous, venal,{I cannot find
a fitting word}, politicians for their own benefit.
Certainly that’s the case in Florida.
