Can it be that I am the only one that knows the true meaning of the word Doge. Hard to believe, still, I haven’t heard it mentioned. This must please our present Doge no end.Doge is Italian for Duke and Latin for leader. City-States such as Venice and Genoa had Doges in their time, but these men were elected by their peers. Our current Doge is nothing but a wealthy schmuck, but he does wear black, ha,ha! As for his “Lone Ranger and Tonto”act, Tonto is missng his headband. They are funny though. Islander.
