To anyone out there interested in North and Central Florida history
before during and slightly after the Civil War, or for that matter
anyone that enjoys the Florida tales of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings,
I suggest the following.
“Florida’s Frontier, The Way Hit Wuz”, by Mary Ida Barber Bass.
This book is not textbook history, though quite factual.
Rather, it is quite personal, quite well done, and quite the read.
