The 1812 Overture

When one listen’s to Tchaikovsky’s music one can

imagine being a Russian drawn up to face one of the

greatest armies in the world at Borodino, much like

the Americans earlierĀ  on Breeds Hill over Boston.

You see the French come at you wave after wave,

much like the British did to the Americans.

You see, at this point you must feel, the exultation

of standing to and defeating repeated assaults.

And though, much like the Americans before them,

the Russians were forced to retreat, they knew in

their hearts as had the Americans before them,

that they could and would defeat the bastards.
