Think you’re a free man?, actually you’re a serf.
Think you’re a congressman?, actually you’re a vassal.
Think you’re a CEO?, actually you’re a lord.
Serfdom and lordship need no explanation,perhaps vassalage does.
A vassal is one who vows complete fealty to his lord.
Occasionally he must fight tooth and nail for his lord,
but his main duty is to keep the serfs in line and make sure
that his lord gets much more than his fare share of the pie
that the serfs create.
Obviously the Middle Ages have never ended and possibly never will.
