I could say it’s a pity and it is, I could say it’s
a shame and it is, I could say it’s a sin if you
believe in sin, and it would be , but frankly,
and we may part here I’d rather call it a crime.
I’ll go further, a crime against humanity or if
you’d rather , us.
A crime that every adult and their fathers before
them are guilty of.
That we allow men, who have never fired a shot
in anger and even more disgusting men who
have, to send our precious young into battle
for the vain-glory of the senders, we have committed a crime, a horrendous crime,
and if that were not criminal enough we
compound it by looking the other way
when our young return.
Then again this nation has been livingĀ this
life of crime for generations, there’s a word
for it, subliminal, but there’s no excuse.
