Not quite

Not quite eight years ago, I voted for a man who I thought would

go to Washington, DC. and kick ass. He could have done it, damn near

the whole country had his back. Yet he did not, for lack of a better word

he caved.

The first indication I personally perceived was his appointment of one

of the Wall Street arsonists to the Treasury secretaryship.

When I say arsonists, I mean the people that burned down the economy.

The fact that this president bailed out the likes of the above, instead of

the people that voted for himĀ or for that matterĀ  those who didn’t,

said it all and made me realize my mistake.

Yes, he was bullied. Shit man, put the bully in front of me,us, the voters.

Yet he chose not to rock the boat. A pity. As I ponder the last eight years

the word charlatan comes to mind. Funk and Wagnalls def. “n. one who

makes claim to skill and knowledge he does not possess; an impostor;

quack. [<F<Ital. ciarla-chat, idle talk.] I shouldn’t be so hard on him

as I’m quite sure he will not be alone in the Pantheon of Presidents.
