Enemies

I guess you could call wolves and sheep enemies,

indeed there are all kinds of enemies.

I did not coin the phrases I’m about to use, they have

been in man’s mind, thought and existence at least

back to tribal chiefs and village elders.

I’ll give you two enemies, and not so off hand.

“Enemies of the State”, and “Enemies of the People”,

and when I say people I only mean the “hoi-polloi”.

And when I say the State, I include large-scale industry,

a sure sign of Fascism; look that word up in your

dictionary and I’m sure you will agree with me.

The State knows full well who its enemy is,-

us, the rabble, however, it strikes me that

too many commoners have not figured out

who’s sticking it to them, or if they have,

they just don’t give a shit.

I guess they’re to busy going bowling

or getting breast implants, ha,ha!

Islander.
