A tree breaks our line of sight so gracefully, does it not?
What would we see if it were not there, an infinity of nothingness?,
perhaps a brick wall, ha,ha.
I have a favorite tree I gaze upon almost daily, I watch it grow,
I let it grow.
Anyway, one day I perceived a female face, three quarter profile,
at a point where the first branch having started at five feet up
branched itself at about seven feet up, both branches close in
to the tree,[kind of like us]. By the way, I’m not Catholic, ha,ha!
Of course, light and shadow play their part, as the artist in all of us knows.
However, since the storm, she’s gone. But as I still seek her
the thought comes to mind, that we all have a nook or cranny
where we go, to see what perhaps only we can see,
to think what perhaps only we can think.
