My front door recently got “sticky”, if you will. Can’t live with that.
Happened to be listening to Beethoven at the time but thought I can
listen and do also. Good call as it turns out.
Afterward I surveyed the nearest table “cum staging area” for the task.
This is what I saw in no order. A 20 oz. carpenters framing hammer,
a three inches long three eights inch diameter aluminum drift pin,
a can of W/D forty, soiled paper towels, and most important of all
an inch and a half wide wood chisel, actually used as a wedge.
I thought you might contemplate, as I did, what it takes to correct
a simple household problem. As it turns out I had built the door
approximately twenty five years earlier, need I say more?
My point , which up to now was not clear to me is this.
Man can solve his problems if he wants to. After all they’re
just the result of something he did in the past.
By the way the orchestra was the Youth Orchestra of Bolivia
and I had the thought yes, Beethoven was once a youth
