Of war, that is. I make no excuses for “Vlad the Bad”. there are no excuses. As you’ll recall, America used B52s to carpet bomb Vietnam. Each plane could carry 15 Tons of bombs, dumb bombs mind you. 500 lbs., 750 lbs.,1000 llbs or a mixture, fancy that. Each plane’s bombload could totally flatten an area over 1/2 mile wide and over 2 miles long. You know as well as I that such a bomb released from 20,000 and even 30,000 feet can easily miss the intended target if indeed there was one. These planes made over 700 sorties over Vietnam. And then, the indiscriminate use of Agent Orange was blatant chemical warfare in my opinion. But lo, was Johson ever called a war criminal?
