at least educational standards for candidates.
To have in Congress men who almost never know what they
are talking about is unfortunate, not to say suicidal.
But the experience we have had knowingly or not, with many
of the products of Harvard, Yale, Annapolis and Princeton
leads to the conviction that perhaps, beyond high school,
education is not so important an asset as common sense,
intelligence, integrity, and a self sacrificing spirit”.
