A.T.S.

As I deal with my own  “after the storm ” thing, I

of course notice the [and I hate to use this word]

obvious, [and shoot me if I ever use it again] but

beyond that another noticeable event is the drop

in normal bird population.

Maybe many flew to safer haven but I know for

a fact a few hung around and still do.

I put it down to Wind and Sea. The Wind stripped

the trees and bushes of fruit and berries, and the

Sea inundated the land to some depth for some

time and I’m quite sure put a hurt on the insect

population, another vital source of sustenance.

And as I think and write about birds I can’t,

somehow in my mind anyway, keep from

forming an analogy vis-a-vis them and us.
